Feel the Love
Many weeks start for me with looking forward to the next Phoenix Rising show. It’s the constant anticipation that makes my "normal" life a little more bearable. During my 4 hour drive home from Ocean City today, I was reflecting on how great it is to be part of this band...and how much you (the band) and (the fans) have enhanced my life. I couldn’t ask for any higher quality of people to be playing with. I am grateful for each moment we share. THANK YOU Beej, Jack, George, Tim and of course Rusty! I love you guys and love all of the people who always there supporting us.

The Band
How does a person explain after giggin 35 years in this band or that band, that every now and then there is a fork in the road........that time is now......i need to do different musical things......the guys in PR were the best musicians i have played with in a long time......I’m leaving the group because i believe my familia deserves to see thier papa a little more.....and i want to try new things (NO SEXUAL PLASTIC STUFF INVOLVED).......I am definately gonna miss the tight PR friends that i met over the years....I’ve had a lot of fun jumpin up and down with Tim....and being next to Jack on the rythmn side was about as cool as you could get......I’m gonna miss poppin with Len ....we just met and things were goin fine... the 2 of us would have made the best rythmn around........what can i say about George......He is in my top 5 GTR players that i have been blessed to play with.....( not nessesarily in this order).....THE JEFF ADAMS, THE DAVID BELL, THE RONNIE ZEBRON, THE DEAN CRAMER,

New Bassist
Ok not sure what’s going on, and was in total disbelief when I recieved a text last night with a message about Bj’s departure from PR!! It’s a sad day in my world and I’m sure a few other’s!! We are all very close! With the leaving of John and now Bj it will be very hard to replace him beacause we are not only friends but family!! I love each and everyone of these guy’s in a different way and I only want the best for everyone!! So let’s move forward and try to look at the new bassist the same way as we looked at Bj...granted for me it’s going to be hard...VERY HARD and hopefully the one that get’s the horor of replacing him treats us the same way he Bj treated us, and vice versa...well maybe not vise versa for me.

Thanks for the pig wings!
Had a blast yesterday at the Preakness Kickoff Party. Our hosts from the Maryland Jockeys Club were gracious, Stash and the 98Rock crew were fun as always, and you all stood in the rain for the last few songs and didn’t seem to mind. Amazing.

And a special thanks to Kim B for setting us up with an after set round of frosty beverages and pig wings at Alexander Tavern. It was a first for us, and YUM!

Hickory Inn
Wow. Haven"t been there in 20 yrs. Awesome place, despite the stage that was built for dwarfs. U have to get booked back there in the summer for a deck party. A Great Ride

Cant wait guys, but on website for Rams head tickets are not available Face Dancer is listed to play that date they need to fix, I know B.J. scheduled you guys for Oct.16th and F.D. for Dec.19th from what I was told. You five totally rocked the backyard and deck again this year; it was so amazing!! You all make us so incredibly happy. Thank you is not enough for what you all did for us yesterday. When Major Mit got up on that deck railing I thought I would fall over (good thing my insurance is paid). And when he let me sing "Cold Hard Bitch" and "Let’s Go Crazy" it made my year (we are good together)!!! WOW!!! What a great time we had at Champions Saturday night. The crowd was out in full force; it was nice to see so many people out supporting my favorite band (many thanks to the Century gang that showed up)!! Lots of pictures to prove all the fun we had.
Looking forward to The Barn in a few weeks, enjoy the next couple of weekends off.

McAvoy’s
Saturday night was a frickin blast!!! It was freezing outside but warm and toasty inside. Loved The Killers songs that you played (you all sounded soooo good)!! Very nice crowd at McAvoy’s.



I hope Colleen and Shylah both are feeling better. Mary, Gary, Rusty and I hated to see them leave. But hopefully everyone (including Mike and Heather) will be healthy and well when we roll into Champions this Saturday night. Can’t wait; let this week fly by!! Love you guys!

Just finished reading the review on Phoenix Rising in Shockwave Magazine (online). Annette you hit the nail right on the head ~ way to go!!

Phoenix Rising is an incredible band and I always recommend for a fun night out to go see them perform.

Hey everyone I humbled myself and asked the guy’s if I could do a review about them in Shockwave Magazine and they were delighted to let me. The magazine is really the only free rock Mag for the Baltimore area. It was my first review hope I did not screw anything up....LOL, but I believe that these guy’s Rock the Baltimore area when they are booked in this area Tim, BJ, George, Jack, and John are very friendly and always have been since I first seen them...Thanks guy’s....I hope this help and if there is anything else I could do I would be happy to do it...See you guy’s at McAvoy’s!! Howdy, holiday shoppers! Don’t miss tonight’s show at the Frederick Greene Turtle and Friday at Bamboo Bernie’s in Pasadena! This is the 2nd Thanksgiving Eve show at the Turtle and last year was an unbelievable party. We even have the pix to prove it. Big thanks to everyone who came out to the Fredneck Turtle Saturday. You put up with long lines at the door nearly all night long, packed the dance floor (and sometimes the stage), and gave us a GREAT night. Phoenix Rising you are the best!!! Rusty and I want to thank you so very much for rocking our backyard on Saturday. The sunshine must have followed you all the way down the road. I was so stressed out (being under a tornado watch didn’t help), but as soon as you arrived the clouds parted and we even got to see the sun; not a single drop of rain!!

What an amazing night, thank you for making my birthday one I will NEVER forget. I can’t tell you how many of our friends and neighbors (that hadn’t seen you before) said "Damn, they are good!" You now have MANY new fans!!

Thank you to everyone that came to our house on Saturday night (a big thank you to everyone that brought food!) you made my monumental birthday so special! What an amazing night. So good it took 10 hours of sleep to recover. Mt. Airy Green turtle is one of my favorites. You guys where able to ignite the crowd, and bring us all together to have one fantabulous time. Mt. Airy Show
You’re not losing it. We had to move the March 8 Mt. Airy Greene Turtle show to April 12. I know a LOT of people in Mt. Airy are waiting eagerly for our next appearance there. We’re sorry to have to delay it further, me especially since you’re my home town crowd and you treat us so well. But you don’t have to wait til April to get your fix. We’ll be at Champions in Frederick on Feb. 16. This is our first show at Champions, so we need all the west side support you can muster. Hope to see you there!

Break Time Until Break Time
We just finished our 7th show in 3 weeks. Doesn’t sound like much, but for a bunch of guys with day jobs, it’s been an exhausting but fantastic run. We’re going to give our livers a bit of a break and take off the next few weeks. Should give us time to put the finishing touches on some more of the demo material and pick up a couple new songs. Next time you see us we’ll have new music and new tattoos to share.

Happy New Year!
Well folks, as of last night we’ve rolled through our last show of 2007. What a freakin year! Here’s how it went down, by the numbers: 39 shows. 11 new rooms. Approximately 150 socials. About 850 new myspace friends. Something like 118 Guinness, 120 Grey Goose and OJs, 85 Citron and cranberries, 78 Jamesons (neat), 68 Coronas, and 93 gin and tonics. 12 2am diner visits. Roughly 6,825 miles on our cars. 84 bottles of Aquafina. 35 drum sticks. 2 harmonicas. 75 guitar picks. 128 chicken wings. Infinite gratitude to you, our loyal fans, friends and families.

2008 is gonna be great and we can’t wait to get back out there and see everyone again! Happy New Year, everyone!

We just got word that a friend of the band, Huggie, is in Shock Trauma. He was in a serious motorcycle accident Sunday & was airlifted there. Huggie is in critical condition with head injuries, broken bones & a collapsed lung. Please join us in prayer for him and his family! Huggie always brings a smile to our faces when he comes to see us play. Hell, Huggie brings a smile to anyone’s face he greets. Hang in there, Huggie!

FINALLY FREDERICK!
Strange, how much I missed all of you. Only three weeks, but apparently far too long to go Phoenix Social-less. You more than made up for the wait. You guys truly rocked that place! And always so nice to hang out with my friends.
Got to love Frederic Olde Towne Tavern. My second time there following Phoenix. Nice town. Those Frederick folks really know how to party!
This coming Saturday is Vera’s. Heard that place is quite nice. Any place Phoenix goes... I’ll always be there, if at all possible. So that’s Vera’s on the 11th.

The Barn

Oh, my mistake! Sorry all. I am obviously human. It was my first time at Greene Turtle in Mt. Airy. But certainly not the last! Food, drinks, service and entertainment were great. Anywhere Phoenix goes becomes a favorite place.

FULL MOON SOCIAL!
June full moon with Phoenix Rising at Looney’s Pub North. WOW! That was something to remember. What a great night! Phoenix, family and friends gathered together for so much fun. You guys rock! Jude is working in very well. Word has it the originals are compiling. I love these songs and look forward to your cd. You guys work hard, but make it look easy. Thanks for a fantastic time. I wouldn’t have missed it for anything. And I am so ready for Saturday, July 14 at The Barn in Parkville! Hope everyone will be there. Love you all. SOCIAL!

Just like your Birthday celebration, MajorMit! Who’s birthday is next? We can keep this going year round, as far as I’m concerned. Everyone gets a birthday month.
The fun never ends with Phoenix. Sonoma’s rocked! That place will be awesome when they complete the renovations. I’m not sure who enjoys your gigs more... you guys or your fans. Father’s Day Greetings and More
Last week the birthday celebration for MajorMit was too much fun. Loved it.
Olde Towne Tavern in Frederick was amazing. Like playing in my old uncle’s basement. Only my uncle’s basement didn’t rock like Olde Towne did. WOW, guys! You were great. Fantastic show. And a fantastic crowd. I really like the Frederick crowd.
Welcome to Jude! He really does some amazing things. Fits in so well with the rest of you charmers. And I really love the originals. Can’t wait to buy the Phoenix Rising CD when it’s out!! Hey, how about some pre-orders? Put me down for one.
